What is Social Development Unit?
Social Development Unit works in partnership with MUIS to fund and support programmes meant for the poor and needy (asnaf fakir and miskin).
Besides providing financial aid, we provide socio-religious support programmes such as Islamic learning, life-skills development, and community engagement. Some of these programmes include financial management, wellness programmes, children’s enrichment and mosque befriending.
We also refer our Zakat Beneficiaries to other relevant organisations in assisting for their betterment of lives.

2. MUIS ASSISTANCE
The Muis Zakat Financial Assistance is rendered to the lowest 5% of Muslim income earners in Singapore by calculating the Per Capita Income (PCI) of its Zakat assistance applicants. This presently stands at $400.
